Photo restoration questions
How much does photo restoration cost?
$30–$80 a photo, including a 6×4 or 7×5 print, the high-res digital file and postage in Australia. Badly damaged photos are quoted separately. Launch offer: 5 photos for $100 for our first 25 customers.
How long does a restoration take?
Usually 3–4 days, then your print is posted.
Do I need to send the original?
No. A clear phone photo is usually enough. If you’d rather post the original, we’ll tell you how.
Will my original be touched?
No. We work on a digital copy.
Can my photo be restored?
We fix fading, yellowing, stains, creases, tears, water damage, mould and missing pieces. Send a snap and your quote will say what’s possible. You don’t pay until you say yes.
Can you colourise black and white photos?
Yes. Mention it in your quote request. The colours are an approximation unless you tell us what they were.
How do I photograph an old photo?
Lay it flat near a window in daylight, flash off, phone held straight above. Take it out of any frame first. Full guide.
What do I get back?
A 6×4 or 7×5 print, posted to you, plus the high-res digital file. Bigger prints and extra copies are available.
When and how do I pay, and do I see it first?
You get a fixed price within one business day and pay only if you say yes, by bank transfer (EFT). You see the restored photo before we print it.
Do you post outside the Gold Coast, or overseas?
Anywhere in Australia. Not overseas at this stage.
